Abstract

Time is the tissue of which matter and minds are made, although it cannot be reducible to mere consciousness or to pure movement of things. Its multiple, heterogeneous, qualitative, unextended and continuous structure makes every physicalistic approach absolutely partial. A phenomenologic perspective can, instead, perceive in time the true root of mind and its complexity. Space, time and mind are, in fact, semantic realities, understanding of which makes an answer to many ontological questions possible.
